 Introduction

Himalayan Jan Kalyan Sewa Trust is a non- profit organization dedicated to social development and reform.

Our organization works on the principles of core values,

such as: “Equality, Justice and Community Participation” to bring positive change in backward areas or groups

such as: “Weaker Sections of Rural India”.

The Trust was founded by social worker Mr. Prem Singh Rawat (Ex-Serviceman) inspired by the core principles such as: transparency, accountability and spirit of cooperation. He has been anonymously helping and serving the needy people back from 2012, however he wished to reach out more and more people to help them give them a better life, this thought initiated the foundation of our NGO. 

Our programs aim to make people self-reliant, so that they can shape their future in a better way.

**Our Organization Service, Empowerment and Sustainable Development**

• Education and Awareness

      -Running school libraries and education centers in backward and rural areas.

      -Organizing workshops on digital literacy, financial awareness and health education.

• Social Welfare and Development

       -Connecting poor, deprived and needy people with education, health and employment.

       -Running women empowerment, child protection and elderly care programs.

       -Making special schemes for scheduled tribes, disabled and backward classes.

       -Making youth self-reliant by training them on employment.

•  Animal Welfare and Environment Protection

        -Cow protection and service work through cow shelters.

        -Agricultural training program to link animal husbandry with livelihood.

        -Awareness campaign to stop animal smuggling.

        -Creating a green India by running tree plantation campaign.

        -Spreading awareness to prevent plastic free, air and water pollution.

        -Making efforts to protect animal rights and wildlife conservation.

•  Health and Hygiene

        -Organizing free medical camps, vaccination campaigns and health awareness programs.

        -Creating awareness on clean drinking water and sanitation.

        -Working and creating awareness for prevention of diseases like TB, AIDS, malaria.

• Disaster Management and Assistance

        -Immediate relief work in disasters like flood, earthquake.

        -Distribution of essential materials in disaster affected areas.

        -Shelter and employment assistance under rehabilitation programs.

        -Community based training for disaster preparedness.

       -Involve local people in development work.

       -Train volunteers and make them partners in social work.

       -Partnership with other organizations, government and corporates.

       -Spread awareness about de-addiction in the area.

  Our Mission and Achievements

   ✓Education: Till now we have provided education to 1500+ children, and our target is to provide education to 10 lakh+ children in future.

   ✓Women Empowerment: 500+ women have been trained to make them self-reliant, and the target is to train 1 lakh+ women ahead.

   ✓Health Camps: 2000+ people have benefited through health camps and we will continue to serve more and more people through our                                              camps.

   ✓Environment: Till now 50000+ saplings have been planted under the tree plantation campaign, and still counting.

   ✓Gau Seva: Till now we have provided our services to more than 10+ Gaushalas and more ahead.
